A new idea for monogram letters...
A recent buyer wanted a monogrammed letter "W". The recipient loves Tord Boontje and so I did a little googling and incorporated some leafy nature-esque vines and the teardrop shaped flowers he uses. It definitely gave the monogrammed letter a new look which I like!

Yay for Apps!
I had this brilliant idea that maybe, just maybe, there should be an app for blogging on the go. I googled to check if there was... Lo and behold, an app for Blogger! Exactly what I needed to make updating my blog much easier! 😜😊
Speechless
I cannot believe how much fun I am having getting my business up and running. I've had several orders come in and have been pumping them out as quickly as possible but giving piece of art the time and effort it deserves.
I've had a couple of monogram orders. Here are some pictures of the final pieces:
I've also worked on a end-of-the-year teacher's gift:
And a pregnancy announcement that a woman from Georgia ordered to announce her pregnancy to her boyfriend. She even used her own spanish poem to tell him the exciting news:

I've also just finished a small order of 10 baby shower invites. This project is my latest favorite. It took my ideas to a new level. I hand-cut and created the chevron look, along with punching out tons of letters and banner pennants to then glue the letters one-by-one on the pennant and then gluing the pennant onto beading string. And then there was the quilled piglet and duckling. Endless task but soooo worth it! Here are some photos:
I have some other new ideas up my sleeve that I'm looking forward to creating now that the orders are completed. I have 2 pending orders that I'll work over the next week (they aren't time sensitive) and I have a great idea for a new project. We shall see!! =)
Thanks for checking in and come back again soon!

(I created this one first but didn't like it enough to give to the buyer so I kept this one for myself, for my craft fair booth one day and re-did the letter "N".)
I loved this one way better!
Great color choices on the letter "J" for a high school graduate to hang in her college dorm this Fall!

Big Dreams Here... =)
On April 19, 2014 I finally opened my very own Etsy shop. It was an idea I had played with in my head multiple times but couldn't find the courage to back myself up. In the past year, I've learned new techniques, created new designs, and have been making my dream come true one paper creation at a time.
My latest project is the exploding box. I created one because I thought it might be a cute pregnancy announcement and soon it became much more than just an announcement! I received my first bulk order for invitations to a 60th Wedding Anniversary celebration! I played with patterns and colors after speaking with the buyer to get an idea of what she was looking for.
In the end, I created this exploding box:
I love it and am so excited to show it to the buyer tomorrow.
I've also worked on quilled monograms and created this beautiful letter "M" for my good friend's new arrival, Mackenzie. She is a cutie and I wanted to give her a special little gift for her room.
Anyhoo, I have some more exciting projects I'm working on and can't wait to share them with all of you! Stay tuned! And in the meantime check out my Etsy shop: papercreationsbyme.etsy.com!
