My Very First Pieces...

My quilling began so long ago, all because I wanted to create 3D looking cards like Target sells.  I happened to stumble across a quilling kit while I bought hundreds of dollars in pop-up stickers.  I took the quilling kit home only to find out that I didn't have the correct tools TO quill.

A year later, I actually bought the tools and here is where I began.  I can assure you though- if you look through my cards and paper creations, my quilling's improving... hehehe!

This was a non-quilled card... cute girls night out mini-invites.

Another non-quilled card... I use them as teacher thank you notes.

This is a Housewarming simple invite... and below is a simple invite I created for a party at our home. In the greeting cards section, I created a more elaborate invitation that I LOVE!!!  It has such elegant detail compared to these.

For the "You're Invited" card above, I used a label for party details on the back of the card.  While the card on the top had a tag shaped cut-out glued with the party info.

The cards above I created when my sister-in-law found out she was pregnant with twin boys!

I created these cards when my sister-in-law's twins (girl and boy) were getting baptized.

My husband (then boyfriend) loves to play the guitar.  I made a card like this guitar card above and wrote "You Rock My World" as part of a gift!

And these were my very, very, very first cards I created... teardrop shapes were easiest to create and so I played around with these ideas.

And now... I love expanding my horizons to make bigger, more beautiful, elaborate ideas that mean something to people!   From your imagination... to my paper creation...

Birthday Balloons

I teach 3 quilling classes after school nowadays.  Two classes at the Y nearby and one class at my school.  The kids love it and it's finally given me time and a renewed passion to quill more often.  With that said, I'm creating birthday cards.  I spent about a couple of hours making 70 balloons.  Here are some pics.  By Friday, I should be done and working on something else.   I have so many ideas... so many possibilities that I want to create!

The parts of all my balloons:

Whew... done... for now.
